I am driving every day, doing real good. I ask myself, will I reach a state where this problem is behind me altogether. Now when I drive one of the things that bothers me is all of a sudden I get a "flash back" like "hey, remember that you used to get dizzy and panic...". And then I slow down and relive a bit the old symptoms.
Will I forget about it all together or will this keep popping up.

I think when the thought of it becomes "silly" to you, you're there. I drove over a bridge with a stoplight at the corner that I had to turn at the other night that I hadn't driven over in 10 years or more. You know what? It was just like driving over it 10 years ago. I couldn't believe it. I would've given almost anything for that to magically happen. It's kind of like I'm forgetting how to feel the bad stuff about driving.

I think that most of us are prone to anxiety, and it's something we have to watch for, so it's important to USE the life strategies part of the program as well. However, having some anxiety is a normal part of life, so you shoudn't be trying to get rid of it, it's impossible. Just like there's a difference between someone who occasionally gets angry and someone with an "anger problem", there's a big difference between someone who sometimes gets anxious and someone with an "anxiety problem". If you try to never be anxious again, you'll fail, it's impossible, you'll forever be disappointed and fighting something that doesn't need to be fought.
The better question is, "Will I ever react the same way to my anxiety?"
And that answer can be "No".
That's how I answer it. :)
