Hello again - as I said before I feel that I am making great strides in overcoming my anxiety (I drove on the highway yesterday, with my hubby) however when I think about driving alone or driving to the beach with my children I get lots of anxiety. Once I am on the road and driving I feel pretty good - it is just the build up that frightens me - and am afraid may even stop me! Are there any tools you could suggest to ease the anticipation? Thank you!

hey jag...

I absolutely understand where you are coming from. The thought popping worked wonders for me. Also actually writing down what my actual fear was and all the stuff I thought was going to happen. Seeing it rather than just thinking it... helped put the fear in perspective.

Thanks Teaser - It really helps to know that I am not the only one feeling these things - a validation of something that to most would seem insignificant - I will practice thought popping more!

Your welcome, jag. I'd have panic attacks before I even left the house... :o I'm doing much, much better now. For the first time in over a year I'm taking my girls out to dinner tonight to celebrate the end of the school year. (Hmmm... I guess they will be celebrating... )

Let me know how you do....

and you're right - it is VERY nice knowing we are significant.
