Hello,
I am 29 years old and I have never had a driver's license. I did get a permit at sixteen and have driven a couple of times. I do not know why, but even the thought of driving makes me anxious and nervous. I have been in car accidents before, but to be honest I cannot remember any details about them, which makes me think they did not have that big of an impact on me. It is frustrating because I have been to college, I have a good job and I just keep thinking that I should be able to do this with no problem. I would love to be more independent and do things for myself instead of relying on others and hopefully this will be the first step in doing so.
It has been very inspirational reading the blogs because for the longest time I felt like I was the only person going through this. No one in my family has this problem and driving seems to come so easily to them. It is a comfort knowing that this problem is shared by others and that it is something that can be overcome with time, patience and a little bit of courage. I look forward to being a part of the blog and to hearing from all of you :)
