I don't know what I'm going to do. I haven't had nearly enough practice and I know that I need to cosistantly drive if I'm even going to have a shot at passing this thing. The thing is, I never want to practice. My husband always offers to take me driving or have me drive home from work, but I never want to. I'm scared of the tunnel vision, the headaches and possible accidents. I'm scared of something bad happening and thinking to myself, "I KNEW I shouldn't have driven today!" When he does take me driving, I won't leave the neighborhood for the main streets. I always feel like I'm not ready. What's worse is that my little cousin just passed her road test this morning and I'm feeling especially bad about myself because I'll probably fail my test. I'll be so humiliated if I fail. I don't want to cry, but I probably will if I fail, and the mean test operator probably won't help in that area. I have to go to work right after the test, which sucks because I'll probably just want to go home and be alone. Just venting and need words of encouragement and support.

Passing theory test in 1st attempt is not really a big deal if prepared for it properly. you need to prepare for 2 parts, theory test part and HPT part.
1. Theory test part
Which includes different sections, as the official theory test questions are available in the market, there are no surprises in the actual exam as those will asked from the set of official theory test questions only.
A. Basic preparation (Total approx 6 hrs)
Read questions
Give answers
Mark question if you feel it difficult or you attempted incorrectly
B. Advance preparation Total approx 4 hrs)
Attempt incorrectly attempted questions
Mark question still if you feel it difficult or you attempted
C. [u] Exam preparation[\u] (Total approx 2 hrs)
Solve at least 10 random tests
Of course more the better..
This pattern will guarantee your part 1 success in exam
2. HPT part-
a bit harder for many... but actually easy to crack it...you need to know the scoring mechanism for this part-
Candidates can score up to five marks on each hazard and the test contains 15 scoreable hazards.
You click either the left or right mouse button whenever you think you can see a hazard developing. The speed at which you click the mouse button as a hazard develops will determine your score for that particular hazard perception clips. You can score between 0 and 5 on each hazard.
The pass mark for this part of the test is 44 out of 75 (i.e. 15 hazard x 5) for car drivers and motorcycle riders.
Those taking LGV or PCV (lorry or bus) tests must score at least 50 out of 75.
Note, your irregular/continuous clicks on screen might lead to zero score for that clip...
that's it... u r on your way to pass your theory test in first attempt... get going....best of luck!!!

The driving part of your car test will last about 40 minutes. Throughout the practical test your examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving, including when you are carrying out the set exercises. You can make up to 15 driving faults and still pass the test (16 or more results in failure). However, if you commit one serious or dangerous fault you will fail the practical test.

Hi
Many drivers today, are clueless. Not just teens either. I believe our standards have diminished considerably when it comes to who should get the PRIVILEGE to drive a car, and perhaps it's time we put the ONUS back onto government, who should make it MANDATORY that classroom instructions are taught to all future WOULD BE drivers in this country (Canada).
So my greatest advice, to most teens, who I KNOW have GOOD COMMON SENSE, is to take the time to take a good driving course, which teaches you many great things including getting to know your vehicle and it's parts, safety and maintenance etc. You should know your road, your signage, your rights and your vehicle, as well as your responsibility as a person entitled with the right to drive. It could save YOUR life or the life of another.
