Hi my name is Constance. My fear of driving was cultivated in my teens, when I was learning how to drive. At first I was excited while my Father was instructing me. Things changed the moment my Mother was in the car. She began screaming at me, informing me I was going to kill her and everyone around me because I was driving too close to parked cars. Since then, it had taken on a life of it's own. I finally obtained my DL 12 years ago, but have not been behind the wheel since my driving test. I would like to finally reach a point of comfortabilitycoupled with the confidence to move pass this. Most have no understanding of this problem, probably because they are drivers :] It is nice to have this forum.

I know exactly where you are coming from - this fear can sometimes be all consuming - I am sure we will all try and support each other - this forum rocks because you can talk about this and people will understand - you will drive - you will succeed - keep trying constance - with you all the way.
