Hi all, I have been using the fear programme techniques as well as hypnotherapy and it seems to be working most of the time. My level of anxiety has decreased considerably and I have been much braver driving to places but I still have a level (need to breathe calmly and evenly) of anxiety for 1/2 hour at the start of driving, also time to time I get these setbacks where the fear sets in and I worry about driving somewhere normal. The fear of the fear starts and I get terribly disappointed in myself as I have this relapse. Can anyone advise if this is normal as the set backs are disappointing and I feel ever so frustrated.
Thanks.

Nothing is ever a straight line to the goal, setbacks are all a part of it. I even talk quite a bit about it in The Anxiety Lie. Every setback is another chance to practice the RIGHT way, so the more challenges you have, the quicker you'll be pat all this. They're actually a GOOD thing!

Hi,

I haven't been here in months and have basically neglected taking care of myself. One the one hand I drive everyday but there were times in between that I was doing much better then I am doing now. I guess that I need to allocate time for myself on a regular base. I am just so busy with other responsibilities that I find it hard to be responsible for me.
