I am happy to report I had my best day of driving since I started the program a few weeks ago. It feels good. Really really good! I have concentrated on trying to keep my body relaxed. Knowing that a relaxed body will keep the panic cycle from starting has been an awakening for me. In fact, I was hoping to practice the R O A D technique today while on the freeway but I did not experience any of my usual panic symptoms.
I have read the program over and over. I have been doing my "safe place" exercises daily. I have committed myself to the program completely.
I know I have much more work to do. I welcome the opportunity to learn as I can about how and why I have suffered from paniic attacks.
I have gained a renewed confidence each and every day. Knowing I have a tool box full of useful information to face my fear of driving has been rewarding.
I WILL overcome my driving fear if I continue to dedicate myself to the wonderful program Rich has provided for all of us.
All the best!
Rock

wow, you really inspire me.

I have started the program a few weeks ago, but the progress is slow.
First reason, probably I am not doing the 'exercises' daily.
But I can drive to work and come home from comfortably now.
There are still few roads, routes that I am still say "Not Now" to myself.

Anyway, I'll start doing what you have been doing. Once again, you inspire me.
