Hi Everybody,
If you've made it this far, you've probably seen that posting is very easy.
All you have to do is register, confirm in your email, and you'll be all set to post whatever topic you like.
There's even a nifty FAQ (http://fearofdrivingforum.com/faq.php) you can reference if you have questions or want to use some of these fancy options I don't even know how to use.

There's not really a lot of rules, since as a general rule I don't like them, but I want this to be a positive place and experience for people. So let's:

NOT ridicule people for their fear or path to overcoming it
NOT be unnecessarily negative about treatment approaches. If you didn't find something helpful, ok, nothing works for everyone, but we're not going to get into name calling.
NOT keep adding new topics to existing threads, it gets unmanageable and unreadable, so start your own if you have a new topic.

If I see posts in violation of the above, or think you're not creating and fostering a positive environment, I'll delete the post and if you keep it up, I'll remove your access to the whole board.

Wow. I can be stern.

Go have fun. Help and be helped.

Rich

After reading Rich's tutorial I realized that there are people who are going through the same thing as me. I cannot drive over bridges; it doesn't matter how low it is. Whenever I am driving, I feel as if the vehicle is leaning on one side and may fall over at any time. I have been driving for many years and only started experiencing these feelings about three years ago. Since then, driving has become very difficult, I do not drive unless it's absolutely necessary. Is there anyone in this forum who used Overcome Your Fear of Driving and has been completely cured?

Hi I have failed my driving test. i have a driving licence. I have been driving for the last 30 years. I have done my theory test and passed. i have sat for the driving instructor test. I have failed to pass for three times. According to the examiner. I was there, but according to him i had a grievous mistake. He told me to re start from the beginning. It means that I have to re sit for the theory and re sit again for part two. If !!! I pass the second part then who knows( the examiner of course) I sit for the third part. Then PERHAPS I get the third one, then I will be an instructor. After 30 years experience of driving.

Hi raygatt!
I have been a drive instructor for about 7 years. When I first took the road test to become an instructor, the examiner failed me for stopping ahead of "unmarked" crosswalks. The thing is there were NO unmarked crosswalks where I took the test! I called her on it, but she just made excuses. I'm thankful the next examiner I got was fair and passed me.
I've loved the job since my first student.
