Hello Fellow Forum Members,

I have to say I'm a little disappointed in the lack of posts from many of the people who have registered on this forum. I have definitely gained an emormous amount from working through the Driving Fear Program. Nothing momumental like highways, but doing stuff I thought unimaginable a few years back. For some of you, it might be because you are not confident about "telling all", but for the forum to be a success we have to keep it going. Please post your thoughts. Even if your driving day hasn't been good, please say so, and you will have the support of others.

We are all capable of going further and going faster ...

I would like to encourage folks to post too. Its really will help both the author of the post and the readers.

My challenge has been that people are not aware of "driving phobias" . The response that I get from co workers and boss's etc is "Thats quite strange"..

fact is, its not strange, so many people have phobias.. ours happens to be one related to driving

Now that we have found a place where all of us can relate, lets share our experiences and lets post!!

Hey There Fiore -

Well - I'd have to say that I need to stay really positive and sometimes reading about the difficulties brings me down. So I guess I'll just stick to the success stories portion. LOL

Also, while trying to move on to bigger and better driving, I'm trying to get my sense of humor back. I miss that. The other day while driving with my kids we were actually laughing!! I hadn't realized how long it had been. It's a rung that I hadn't planned on or thought of. Go figure!!

Hopefully, more people will join in.

Thank you both for posting.

I came out of the closet a long time ago and the response I get from friends and family is almost very positive and supportive.

My kids were really good about it throughout all the years when I (slowly) got them to their sporting events, school etc. My son once joked to me that I needed a bumper sticker that says "Zero to 40 in 3 days"!!!

Try to hold on to a good sense of humour. My mum once had a saying "it only hurts when you stop laughing".
