Hey everyone - As some of you know, I deal with general anxiety along with my driving ailments ;)

Well...... yesterday was just great! I had my daughter's seventh grade registration at school as well as some clothes shopping to do. The school was packed - and I did it without one bit of anxiety. Drove without one bit of anxiety. I sat at the most irritating red light in town (and it was irritating even before I had problems with driving  ) Waited in line at the clothing shop without tipping over. hehe

It was just great! Tonight I have another registration to go to and I'm looking forward to meeting the teachers there as well.

Thanks once! Last night went just as well! :) I believe I'm going to do some shopping tonight by myself, which I haven't done in ages. It will depend on the Harley traffic. Harley Davidson is having their 105th birthday celebration and I live near one of the official campgrounds. There are approximately 30,000-40,000 bikers here. ACK!!!

It's rather noisy and I live in the sticks.

This weekend I had a great shopping experience, although not alone - my daughter was looking to buy an iPod. We ended up having to go to four stores to find one. Fortunately or unfortunately we ended up at Wal-Mart (which I try to avoid, because it is always so dang busy with tons of people and long wait lines - my usual M.O. for anxiety/panic). It went really, really well.

One thing that I have noticed - the more better experiences I have - the easier it is for me to "catch" the anxiety coming on.

Hi Teaser,

You are going great guns!! I think it is marvellous how you are venturing into territories that would have once been enormous obstacles for you. You must be feeling marvelous enjoying the liberation.

I'm lucky in that my "general anxiety disorder" doesn't venture into two many critical areas for me (other than driving). One I have, and it hasn't been a major handicap, is not being able to walk down stairs unless I can hold a hand rail, or at least be right next to the hand rail in case I need it. I've been practising walking down steps, bang in the middle where the hand rail is not within reach.

Keep at it, and keep posting your ever increasing advances.

Regards
Fiore

We're so proud of you!

You are a testament to the fact that it is a growing process. Small steps are all it takes. Eventually, you can do anything you set your mind to!

Keep up the good work! Furthermore, challenge it a bit. Don't go to far, but make sure you won't wonder "What if I could have done it all along?"

Kudos!
