Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to say that I'm having to drive my daughter to dance classes two times a week with the round trip being approx. 150 miles. So far so good. I've had no horrible moments of utter panic. Of course, I do avoid the road construction zone by taking the country road from my house to the next town (about 7 miles) and then get on the interstate. I'm just not that brave yet to put myself in a situation where I have absolutely no escape. anyway, I know that there will be times when I experience that terrible panicky feeling but I'm hoping I will deal with it and just keep on going.

Annie,

I'm gob-smacked (we Aussies are so eloquent!). What an awesome driving journey! Doesn't that tell you something? You are capable of so much.

Apart from being very committed to driving fear recovery, you are obviously a seriously dedicated mum and my experience in the years when I had to drive my kids to sporting venues/competitions is that you "simply had to do it" -. Nothing like a bit of internal parental pressure to make you push those boundaries.

Go Annie .....

That is great, Annie!

Don't get down on yourself about the construction zones. I know a lot of people who go out of their way when they know construction is going on. Actually you are probably doing the construction zone a favor :D Less traffic for the ones who are stuck in it. I'm going to bet the more comfortable you are - the less you are going to think about it.
