All / Rich,
Hope you are doing well. Since I first contacted you, I have been working with the program since June at least 3 times a week. I combined it somewhat with the Dr. Angela and created my own spreadsheet to track my progress. I have been doing very well and am able to drive now on the freeway with little to no discomfort. My problem areas continue to be night time and "hills" , but I know that I will overcome them since I have come this far. I have a system thanks to you.
I cannot tell you how much this program has meant to me, it feels like it has saved my life, Before I dreaded any decision on restaurants, travel and to some degree any freeway driving. That has all changed now and I am seeing steady progress.
My question is the section on R.O.A.D. and pushing harder when you experience the anxiety. Can you elaborate a little on that? I get how to Relax and work out tension, I understand how to Observe and Analyze, but the Demand more section, I just don't get. I feel surreal and fearful of the closeness of cars and sometimes as if the car will swerve into the car next to me. My physical symptoms include surreal feelings, tingly chest and sometimes a little shaking. Should I shake more? Should I tap my chest? I need some practical advise here.
Thanks for your help and God Bless you,
