Hi, Rich
I would love to buy your program, but I am afraid my case is not for psychotherapy. I was born with severe nearsightedness, and now, in my late 40s, have slight far-sightedness along with astigmatism and multiple inoperable cataracts. When I was a child, in Moscow, Russia, I was told to never think about driving (or going to college, or delivering a baby - since it could cause retina detachment etc. - no kidding!). I became an American at the age of 20, and to my amazement, have learned and have been driving all this time - almost 30 yrs - legally. My MD assures me that since my vision is enough for a legal license, I should be OK. However, I am terrified of driving in the dark, in snow or heavy rain, and especially, down any incline, even a tiny one. It is hard to see street signs, so I drive slowly, to be able to get close enough to the sign to read it. Unfortunately, I have to drive for work and to get my youngest son to/from his activities. (BTW< I have delivered 3 babies, who are now 21, 18 and 15! And went to college, and even have a Master's degree, despite doctors). So, would your program, dealing with anxiety, i.e. primarily a psychological issue, be useful for someone, who is truly handicapped with low-vision, like I am? How I wish I did not HAVE to drive, given my handicap! Sorry for such a lengthy letter. Thank you very much!
