Dear Friends a small success story from Down Under.
I'm a Minister & also a High School Truancy Officer ( you possibly think ministers shouldn't be having problems with anxiety...wanna bet! (Unfortunately our brains funtion the same as the rest of the human race!)
I have been having frequent anxiety attacks whilst riding my Harley down here in New Zealand.

Today I was out enjoying my ride and I'd managed to go quite a distance (30 miles) without feeling any major anxiety at all. The sun was shining and a nice warm breeze, it's the beginning of Summer here.
My return home encounters a windy gorge with tall hills both sides, beautiful scenery, anyway I was plodding through with my usual alertness (this gorge used to be very difficult for me to negotiate) when from behind came this "maniac" (bless his soul) who wanted to play games.
He would speed up behind me then back off and speed up again. I began to freak a little then got totally p***** off with him.
He was defintely not paying any respect to my condition  nor that I was a "man of the cloth". (They call me Rev Kev over here)
I dont recommend that everyone do this but it worked for me, and I must say I felt elated with my acheivement.
I cracked open the throttle on my bike and rode those corners just like I used to (hard and fast)...yes I was annoyed with the driver but VERY MUCH in CONTROL. The car behind me faded into the distance, eventually I pulled the hog to a stop up the road a few miles. I felt totally elated!
With a big grin on my face I waved to the red faced driver as he drove past... (it was more a partial wave I think you call it "fipping the bird" over there) and yes I have confessed and asked forgiveness for my bout of weakness!... It felt so good!
I just wanted to tell this, because it showed me that we are very much in control if the need arises, the driver of the car must have been heaven sent because I learned so much from this experience... I felt absolutely no anxiety during my spirited charge and very triumphant at the finish.

This site has been great reading others challenges and success's and a big thanks to Rich for creating it.
We are all overcomers and will win the battle... if we don't fight it!

All the best
Kev (the Rev)
